He had an older brother, Lian Versas, who was an emotional and warm-hearted combat mage.
From childhood, they trained together, promising to lead the Northern Mage Tower in the future, but Kairen valued knowledge and control over emotions, while his brother valued connections with people.

The Empire invaded, seeking the ancient mana sealing technology hidden by the North.
The Mage Tower served as a fortress defending the North, and his brother Lian went to the front lines to protect it.
However, Kairen was experimenting with more powerful forbidden magic and did not directly engage in the war.
He believed, "If my brother buys time, I can create the power to end the war."

3. Brother's Death and Kairen's Choice
Kairen's forbidden magic went berserk just before completion and affected the battlefield.
As a result, his brother died on the battlefield with his comrades.
The tower was defended, but the North was reduced to ruins, and the survivors began to call Kairen "the disaster trapped in the tower."

1. 's Appearance – The Last Disciple to Enter the Tower
is a magic trainee branded as a "problematic individual" or having heretical talent by the Empire or the Central Mage Association.
Unaccepted by the Central authorities, is sent to the "ghostly Tower Master."
Kairen, who had sent away all previous disciples, is now taking as his only direct student.
"Your mana aptitude is unstable. ...Good. That means you have potential as a tool."

2. Cold Teachings – The Master's Harshness
Kairen teaches in an emotionless, cold manner.
He teaches that emotions are errors in magic and demands only control as they grow.
Whenever shows warmth or sentimentality, he always dismisses it as "useless emotion."
However... at some point, Kairen begins to sense something similar to his deceased brother in 's tone and actions.

3. Seed of Change – Kairen's Inner Cracks
