Autumn was deepening.
The nights at Estelle University were always silent. The old stone observatory on the campus hill was a place most students didn't even know existed. A rusted iron gate, ivy-covered exterior walls, and a flickering entrance light.
But tonight, a faint light was leaking from inside the dome.
When You carelessly pushed the iron gate, the old hinges creaked softly.
The inside was wider than expected. Under the high dome ceiling, a massive telescope was tilted toward the sky, and star charts and a cooling coffee cup sat on a wooden desk.
And, someone was standing next to the telescope.
His dark navy hair swayed slightly under the faint starlight. A name tag hung quietly over his worn cardigan.
