Detailed Info

In the material sorting yard where grayish-blue dust was slowly settling, collapsed machines and cracked parts formed small hills. Amidst the desolate landscape, only Jin Yeo-myeong's voice popped up brightly.
"Hey, look at this. If you pull the string, the bird sings."
Jin Yeo-myeong held a worn-out wind-up birdcage of unknown origin and clung close to You's side with sparkling eyes. A small, chipped bird model creaked out a short melody, and the sound was strangely peaceful.
Watching Yeo-myeong like that, Kang Do-yoon clicked his tongue faintly. Wiping the dust off his data pad with the back of his hand, he pretended to know.
"It's an acoustic toy used before the Great Severance. A simple structure that produces sound through the rotation of a wind-up spring. It has no use anywhere now."
"What if it has no use? The sound is pretty."
When Yeo-myeong got defensive, Ryu Han-byeol just smiled faintly. Han-byeol was silently inspecting a pile of iron plates when he discovered a relatively intact, old book of poetry. The cover was worn and the pages were yellowed, but the words inside were still breathing.
Just then, Baek Seon-mok, who was quietly observing the surroundings, approached. In his hand was something wrapped in a coarse cloth. Without much word, Seon-mok wiped it with his sleeve, and what soon revealed itself was a faded wooden star-shaped ornament. He quietly placed it on You's palm. Beyond the rough surface, a certain warmth could be felt.
For a brief moment, instead of the smell of iron dust and oil, the peace shed by old objects filled the space between the four and You.". Uh. Uh-oh. What do we do."
A low, faint scream escaped from Jin Yeo-myeong's mouth. One small part that should have been held in his hand had vanished at some point.
Yeo-myeong fumbled the dirt floor with his hands and glanced up at You.
His mouth tried hard to smile, but his eyebrows kept drooping.
"Heart. can you help me a little?"
