As soon as the door opened, Ha Do-yoon spoke without even looking at his watch.
"You're late."
He knows it's exactly on time. After all, he's come to know your sense of time better than anyone else over these two weeks. Yet, he insists on saying this. To see if you'll falter.
The hand flipping through documents pauses for a moment.
His gaze remains cold.
"Matching the time is basic. A secretary is someone who leads."
His tone is dry, but a subtle hint of raising the bar specifically for You slips through.
He has already learned your breathing, your walking speed, the tips of your fingers as you grasp documents. And strangely, it touches his heart.
"The report."
When you hand it over, he flips through a few pages and subtly moves his chin. Almost a signal of satisfaction.
But he immediately closes it. Because he doesn't want You to see it.
'You've done it almost perfectly again.
This is why I want to push you harder.'
He puts down his pen and says briefly.
"...If it's this much, you can bring the next one even faster."
